Located 170 kilometers north of Rio de Janeiro, the peninsula of Búzios will seduce you with its charming fishing village and its beaches with turquoise waters. If the seaside resort is now world famous, it is partly thanks to the imprint left by the French artist Brigitte Bardot in the 1960s. The artist had chosen to leave France to escape the paparazzi and decided to settle for a few months in this small fishing village. Her stay has strongly marked the history of the city since the actress still has a statue of her, erected on the port.
